Faktycznie Super Hornet sprinterem nie jest, jego osiągi najlepiej sumuje zdanie "fastest to getting slow and slowest to getting fast" Pytanie jest, czy faktycznie osiągi samolotu bojowego (patrząc od strony czysto energetycznej) są jeszcze tak kluczowe jak kiedyś i czy nie ważniejsze są systemy uzbrojenia - a te Super Hornet posiada najwyższej klasy.
